North Rhine-Westphalia hosts flea markets and community festivals

North Rhine-Westphalia will host over 50 flea markets during the first weekend of September. These markets, located across the Rhine-Ruhr and South Westphalia regions, offer a variety of items including antiques, model trains, and car parts. Notable locations include Bochum, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Duisburg, and Gelsenkirchen.

Additionally, the Asdonkshof waste management center in Kamp-Lintfort is hosting a family festival on September 13. The event features guided tours of the waste incineration and bio-waste treatment facilities. The program includes workshops and performances by Urbanatix, covering activities such as parkour, hip-hop, beatboxing, and acrobatics including trapeze and Chinese pole.
