The 50th North Sumatra Fair (PRSU) in Medan, organized by Royalindo, aims to host about 300,000 visitors. By its 22nd day, attendance had already exceeded 20,000 and free‑ticket days were offered to keep the event accessible. Concerts remain the main draw, while local cultural and culinary stalls fill the venue.

The provincial agriculture department, Dinas Pertanian dan Ketahanan Pangan (Distan) Sumatra Utara, used the fair to educate the public on raising KUB and ELBA egg‑laying chickens, presenting a six‑step guide to improve production, biosecurity and profitability for small‑scale farmers.

Entrepreneur Syahri Ramadhani YS showcased banana‑peel crackers, turning what was once waste into a marketable snack sold throughout Sumatra. The product, developed over years of trial, was highlighted as an example of local innovation and micro‑enterprise at the fair.
