North Western Railway extends special train services for festivals and Ramdevra Mela
North Western Railway has announced the extension of several special train services and the introduction of four pairs of festival special trains to manage increased passenger traffic during upcoming festivals and the Ramdevra Mela.
To accommodate pilgrims traveling to the Ramdevra Mela in Rajasthan, the railway will operate four pairs of special trains to reduce pressure on regular services. The expansion includes the Barmer-Haridwar-Barmer bi-weekly special, which will run 27 trips between August and December 2026. Additionally, the Ajmer-Yoganagari Rishikesh-Ajmer weekly special will see its operation extended through November 2026.
Other services receiving extensions include the Madar-Rewari-Madar daily special and the Madar-Rohtak-Madar daily special, with multiple trips scheduled through October and November 2026. These measures aim to provide additional capacity for travelers and devotees during peak religious and festive periods.
