Turkey reports multiple fatal and injurious traffic accidents

Turkey has experienced several significant traffic incidents across different regions. In Istanbul, a collision on the Northern Marmara Highway in Uskumruköy resulted in the deaths of three siblings, Yusuf, Mehmet Ali, and Ecrin İçen, while their parents remain in intensive care. The truck driver involved has been arrested.

In Manisa, a multi-vehicle pileup on the D300 highway near Kula, caused by slippery road conditions from rain, left seven people injured. In Antalya, a chain reaction involving six vehicles in Manavgat resulted in 17 injuries, including several foreign tourists; witnesses alleged the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel.

Additionally, a head-on collision in Hatay between a worker shuttle and a truck caused one fatality and 15 injuries. In Afyonkarahisar, a chemical substance spilled on the Dinar-Çay highway caused vehicles to be stained purple, prompting a judicial investigation into environmental pollution and traffic safety risks.
