Norway ski resort employees reach new labor agreement

Norsk Arbeidsmandsforbund and NHO Reiseliv have reached a new collective agreement for employees at ski resorts, successfully avoiding a strike. Following mediation on September 15, 2026, the parties agreed to terms designed to increase purchasing power and social security.

Key components of the agreement include a general hourly wage increase of 6.50 NOK effective May 1, 2026, and an increase in minimum wage rates by 10.50 NOK per hour from the same date. Additionally, workers with at least six seasons of seniority will receive an individual seniority supplement of 2 NOK per hour starting January 1, 2027. The agreement also introduces the advance payment of sick, care, and parental benefits to provide greater financial stability for employees.
