Norwegian labor negotiations and wage settlements

Overview

Norwegian labor organizations LO and NHO have been preparing for critical negotiations regarding wage settlements, sick leave cooperation, and pension reforms following a period of strikes.

This agreement includes a 6.50 NOK general hourly wage increase and a 10.50 NOK increase to minimum wage rates, both effective May 1, 2026. It also introduces seniority supplements for long-term workers and provisions for the advance payment of sick, care, and parental benefits.
