Norwegian Cruise Line unveils waterpark at Great Stirrup Cay

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has unveiled the Great Tides Waterpark on its private island, Great Stirrup Cay, located in the Bahamas. The facility is set for an official opening on September 4, 2026.

The waterpark features several major attractions, including the 52-meter-high Tidal Tower equipped with eight slides, a Wandering River, interactive water play areas, and cliff jumping stations. The development represents a significant expansion of the 109-hectare island, which NCL has utilized since 1977.

An exclusive preview event was held for government officials, industry partners, and media. Attendees included NCL President and CEO John Chidsey, NCL President Marc Kazlauskas, US Ambassador to the Bahamas Herschel Walker, and Bimini and Berry Islands Parliament member Randy Rolle. Access to the waterpark for cruise passengers will require a day pass, with prices starting at approximately 80 euros.
