Norwegian Cruise Line wins top honors at World Cruise Awards

The 2026 World Cruise Awards were announced during a gala in Jamaica, recognizing excellence across the cruise industry. Norwegian Cruise Line was named the world’s best cruise company, winning against competitors such as MSC Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, and Silversea. Abu Dhabi earned the title of the world’s best cruise destination, though regional crises are reportedly influencing how companies plan routes through the Gulf.

Other notable winners include Vietnam for best river cruise destination, Lisbon for best European river cruise destination, and Australis for best expedition cruise line. Pandaw was recognized as the best river cruise line, operating across several Asian countries.

In Turkey, tourism stakeholders in Çeşme met to discuss digital strategies aimed at extending the tourism season to 12 months. The event, held in collaboration with Trip.com and Tripadvisor, focused on increasing the international competitiveness of Izmir's tourism sector through digital transformation, reputation management, and improved visibility on global travel platforms.
