Norwegian Refugee Council receives 251 million NOK from TV-aksjonen

The annual TV-aksjonen fundraising campaign raised 251 million NOK for the Norwegian Refugee Council, compared to 275 million NOK raised the previous year. Although the specific fundraising goal was not met, organizers noted a strong mobilization of approximately 65,000 collectors.

Kristin Skogen Lund, the board chair of the Norwegian Refugee Council, highlighted the importance of the contribution, noting that nearly 100 percent of the funds will go directly toward the intended purpose. The proceeds are designated to support displaced people in Syria, Gaza, Afghanistan, Chad, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

King Harald V participated in the campaign by collecting donations in Kvitsøy, a small municipality near Stavanger. Lund praised the King's participation, describing him as a positive role model for the cause.
