Nothing and LEWITT announce new premium headphone developments

New developments in the premium headphone market include upcoming releases from Nothing and LEWITT.

Nothing is reportedly preparing to launch the Headphone (1) Pro, potentially on September 29, 2026. This premium over-ear model is expected to feature a triple-driver architecture developed in collaboration with Metropolis Studios to provide high-fidelity sound. Key technical specifications leaked include support for LDAC and Hi-Res Audio Wireless, Bluetooth 6.1, and an estimated battery life of up to 60 hours. The device is expected to include adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC), ten integrated microphones, and an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance, utilizing an aluminum and scratch-resistant glass design.

Separately, Austrian audio specialist LEWITT has introduced the LW6, a closed over-ear wireless headphone designed for both professional studio use and high-fidelity listening. The LW6 features 40mm dynamic drivers and utilizes a proprietary wireless technology called RealSound. This system uses a dedicated transmitter connected via USB-C or analog to provide uncompressed audio with latency under six milliseconds, addressing the needs of musicians and engineers. For mobile use, the headphones also support Bluetooth 5.3 with SBC and AAC codecs.
