Nothing Denies Market Exit, Announces AI‑Focused Restructuring

Co‑founder Akis Evangelidis publicly rejected reports that Nothing would withdraw from around a dozen international markets, labeling the claims “fake news” and stating, “We are not shutting down any markets.” He highlighted strong first‑day sales of the new Nothing Phone (4b), which sold 29,537 units, a record for its price segment.

The company confirmed an internal reorganisation aimed at preparing for its next growth phase. The plan includes creating a dedicated AI‑native business unit and consolidating individual country operations into regional hubs to improve efficiency. Evangelidis acknowledged that the restructuring will affect some positions but said the widely reported figure that up to 40% of staff would be laid off is “way overblown.”

Nothing stressed that the changes are part of a strategic realignment, not a market shutdown, and pledged support for employees impacted by the transition.
