Nova Iguaçu health agents receive sanitation training
The Saneamento Salva project, an initiative by Águas do Rio (an Aegea concessionaire), is training health professionals and daycare workers in the Km 32 area of Nova Iguaçu to promote sanitation, health, and environmental preservation.
By educating community health agents, the program aims to disseminate vital information regarding disease prevention and proper waste management to local families. One notable outcome of the initiative included the installation of a dedicated collection point for used cooking oil following a suggestion from a local health agent, aimed at preventing sewage system damage and environmental contamination.
