Overview

Nova Iguaçu is implementing various technological and social programs focused on public safety and community health. Additionally, the ‘Saneamento Salva’ project continues to train health professionals and daycare workers in the Km 32 area to promote sanitation, disease prevention, and proper waste management.

Expanding on these health themes, the Municipal Secretariat of Animal Defense and Protection organized an ‘Outubro Rosa’ awareness meeting specifically for local animal protectors. This event included lectures on breast cancer prevention for women and the importance of spaying and neutering to reduce tumor risks in dogs and cats.
