Novi Travnik and Osijek host cultural exchange event

The cities of Novi Travnik and Osijek are strengthening their formal friendship, established in 2022, through a cultural program titled ‘Bridge of Friendship – Novi Travnik and Osijek’. The event, organized by the branches of Matica hrvatska in both cities in collaboration with the Faculty of Philosophy at Josip Jurja Strossmayera University in Osijek, is scheduled for October 24.

The program includes presentations on the life and work of Fra Marijan Šunjić, discussions on the ‘Month of the Virgin’, and an overview of Novi Travnik. Cultural highlights feature demonstrations of traditional male and female folk costumes, a monodrama titled ‘Queen Katarina Kosača’, and musical performances. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth, Culture and Sports of the Central Bosnia Canton.
