Novi Travnik cultural heritage presented in Osijek

Members of the Matica hrvatska branches from Novi Travnik and Osijek organized the ‘Bridge of Friendship’ project at the Faculty of Philosophy in Osijek. The event showcased the cultural, historical, and economic aspects of Novi Travnik.

Presentations covered the life and work of Fra Marijan Šunjić, the topic of ‘Gospina mjesec’, and the economic landscape of Novi Travnik, including local companies and market positioning. The program also featured traditional male and female folk costumes, a monodrama titled ‘Queen Katarina Kosača’ by Anela Križanac, and musical performances by accordion virtuoso Marko Plavčić.

Organizers described the meeting as an excellent start to a partnership intended to foster future joint projects and strengthen relations between the two cities.
