Nobres police investigate cattle theft and pasture arson

The Civil Police launched ‘Operação Rastreio Rural’ to investigate a cattle theft and arson incident in Nobres, Mato Grosso. A group of suspects reportedly stole 39 cattle, including cows and calves, from a farm located on the MT-241 highway.

Investigators believe the suspects set fire to the pasture using fuel and improvised wicks to hinder the collection of evidence. During the operation, police executed two search and seizure warrants to gather new evidence, identify those involved, and locate the stolen herd. Authorities also recovered personal belongings and ropes used to restrain the animals at the crime scene.
