Novonesis and Bavarian Nordic initiate share buyback programs

Several Danish companies have initiated or concluded share buyback programs to return capital to shareholders.

Novonesis has launched a relatively short-term program valued at approximately 75 million euros (roughly 560 million DKK), which is scheduled to run until mid-December. Bavarian Nordic is executing a 250 million DKK buyback program set to conclude at the end of October. Recent transactions conducted by Nordea on behalf of Bavarian Nordic have resulted in the company holding 4,132,413 treasury shares, representing 5.21% of its share capital.

Additionally, Djursland Bank has started a 45 million DKK program that will span a full year. These buybacks serve as a form of indirect dividend, often used by boards to signal financial strength and attract investors by demonstrating the availability of free capital.
