Danish corporate share buyback programs

Overview

Several Danish companies have initiated or continued share buyback programs to return capital to shareholders.

In early October, Novonesis launched a short-term program valued at approximately 75 million euros, while Bavarian Nordic executed a 250 million DKK program. Djursland Bank also commenced a 45 million DKK program scheduled to last one year.

By mid-October, Demant raised its 2026 outlook and resumed a share buyback program of at least 3 billion DKK, following strong organic growth in its hearing aids segment. Novo Nordisk continued its own repurchase initiative, having repurchased over 23 million B shares for approximately 6.76 billion DKK as part of a larger 15 billion DKK program.
