Novorossiysk hit by Ukrainian drone attacks, killing at least four

Ukrainian drone attacks on the southern Russian port city of Novorossiysk have resulted in at least four deaths and 29 injuries, according to Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratjev. A state of emergency has been declared in the city following the strikes.

Reports indicate significant damage to civilian and military infrastructure, including eight residential buildings, a kindergarten, a school, and a medical clinic. The attacks also targeted a naval base, an oil terminal, and warships equipped with Kalibr missiles. Novorossiysk serves as a key base for the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the operation, characterizing it as a response to ongoing Russian attacks. Local authorities also noted drone activity near the coastal towns of Gelendzhik and Anapa.
