Nowon-gu selected for South Korean government AI pilot program

Nowon-gu has been selected by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety as a pilot local government for ‘On-AI’, an intelligent administrative management platform. This initiative aims to establish standards for AI transformation (AX) within local governments.

Building on the earlier introduction of ‘NowonGPT’ in March, which has seen over 70% of staff utilize it for document drafting and data analysis, the district will expand its AI capabilities. The ‘On-AI’ platform will support tasks such as searching laws and guidelines, data collection, document creation, and automatic generation of meeting minutes through video conferencing.

The district plans to introduce approximately 500 accounts for the pilot service between October and the end of the year, with the goal of refining plans for a full-scale intelligent administrative platform next year.
