Nox Studio Interiors renovates 100-year-old Dutch farmhouse

A century-old farmhouse in Meppel, Netherlands, has undergone an extensive renovation where only the original front façade was preserved. The rest of the structure was demolished and rebuilt by Nox Studio Interiors.

Interior designer Anne Van Heugte aimed to honor the property’s agricultural history by incorporating traditional materials, such as 300-year-old bricks, wooden wainscoting, and aged-looking beams. The design features a maximalist and eclectic color palette, including a botanical green entryway, a red kitchen with tiger-print seating, and a living room utilizing orange, blue, and gold tones.
