NPP urges unity and decorum ahead of 2028 elections

General Secretary hopeful Eugene Boakye Antwi warned New Patriotic Party (NPP) members to conduct internal campaign activities without personal attacks, emphasizing that insults and character assaults damage party cohesion and could hurt its chances in the 2028 general election. He urged aspirants to focus on the shared goal of returning the NPP to power and to limit divisive rhetoric.

Former party chairman Paul Afoko also called on rank‑and‑file members to set aside differences, launch a "Three Rs" strategy – Reunite, Rebuild, Recapture – and restore confidence after poor performance in the 2024 election. Afoko highlighted the loss of parliamentary seats in Ghana’s northern regions as a symptom of internal disunity and urged collective action to strengthen grassroots structures before the party’s upcoming internal elections.
