NPP-USA to elect new leadership at 2026 delegates conference in Massachusetts
The New Patriotic Party United States branch (NPP‑USA) will hold its 2026 Branch Delegates Conference from July 24 to July 26 in Westborough, Massachusetts. Delegates from chapters across the United States will elect a new national executive team to guide the branch for the next term.
The three‑day event, themed “Rooted in the Values of Our Founders, Rising to Secure Ghana’s Future,” aims to strengthen the Ghanaian diaspora’s role in the party ahead of Ghana’s 2028 general elections. It will be chaired by NPP‑USA Branch Chairperson Obaa Yaa Amponsah Frimpong, with the Massachusetts Chapter, led by Louis Amoako Mensah, serving as host.
Key contests include the election for Branch Chairperson, featuring Janis Asare‑Bediako of the Washington Metro Chapter and James Owusu, the current First Vice Chairman. High‑level speakers are expected, such as Acting Party Chairman Danquah Smith Buttey, Minority Leader Hon. Osahen Alexander Afenyo‑Markin, Chief of Staff Hon. Osei Kyei‑Mensah‑Bonsu, and a keynote address by the party’s 2028 presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
