Nscale signs $45 billion AI computing contract

Nscale, a major company in Aker's portfolio, has signed a contract valued at $45 billion (approximately 421 billion NOK) to provide AI computing capacity. The agreement involves an unnamed customer and will be serviced through the company's Monarch facility located in the United States.

Nscale is currently Aker's second-largest holding after Aker BP. The company is also expanding its infrastructure in Norway, with ongoing developments for two data centers in Glomsfjord and Narvik. The investment for the Narvik site is estimated at approximately 100 billion NOK, which has been described as the largest mainland investment in Norway to date.
