NSCN/GPRN condemns drone attacks and warns of fraudulent tax collection

The NSCN/GPRN and the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) have condemned recent drone attacks within the Naga Self-Administered Zone in Myanmar. The NSCN/GPRN reported a drone strike on October 3 at Langkho village targeting the residence of Brigadier Akham Konyak, which allegedly killed two civilians, and another attack on the Mt. Horeb Camp on October 11 involving approximately 60 explosive devices. The organization described these actions as indiscriminate and called for an impartial investigation to ensure accountability.

In a separate development, the Yung Aung-led NSCN/GPRN has issued warnings regarding fraudulent tax collection and extortion in the Kohima and Dimapur districts of India. The group accused an individual operating under the alias ‘HK Sema’ of falsely representing the organization to collect money from government departments. To address this, the NSCN/GPRN’s Ministry of Trade and Commerce has appointed Toshi Naga and Avolie Angami as finance in-charges to oversee financial matters in those districts, advising businesses to verify credentials before making transactions.
