NSCN drone attack allegations in Myanmar
Overview
The NSCN-K (Yung Angh) and the NSCN/GPRN have condemned a series of drone attacks within the Naga Self-Administered Zone in Myanmar’s Sagaing Region.
On October 3, a strike in Langkho village reportedly targeted the residence of Col. Akham Konyak, resulting in injuries to civilians, including a young girl. The NSCN-K described the incident as a “cowardly and indiscriminate” act and “state-sponsored terrorism,” calling for international scrutiny.
Following this, a second attack was reported on October 11 at the Mt. Horeb Camp, which allegedly involved approximately 60 explosive devices. The NSCN/GPRN and the Naga Students’ Federation have called for an impartial investigation into these strikes to ensure accountability.
