NSW Police conduct ‘Operation Suppress’ to target crime in Terrigal

Police in the Brisbane Water Police District conducted ‘Operation Suppress’ over the weekend to combat antisocial behaviour, knife, drug, and property-related offences in the Terrigal area. The operation involved multiple specialist units, including the Public Order and Riot Squad, the Dog Unit, and PolAir.

During the operation, officers conducted 13 person searches, 39 inspections of licensed premises, and two vehicle searches. In Hardys Bay, a 20-year-old man was arrested and charged with possessing and supplying prohibited drugs after police allegedly found tablets and other drugs during a vehicle search on Heath Road.

A second search in East Gosford on Russell Street resulted in the seizure of two baseball bats, $2,100 in cash, and a crystal-like substance. While no charges were laid during this specific stop, inquiries into the matter are ongoing.
