NSW police operations against crime

Overview

NSW Police conducted ‘Operation Suppress’ in the Terrigal area to combat antisocial behavior, drugs, knives, and property-related offenses. The operation utilized specialist units, including the Public Order and Riot Squad, the Dog Unit, and PolAir.

During the operation, officers performed 13 person searches, 39 inspections of licensed premises, and two vehicle searches. In Hardys Bay, a 20-year-old man was arrested and charged with possessing and supplying prohibited drugs following a vehicle search on Heath Road.

A separate search in East Gosford on Russell Street led to the seizure of two baseball bats, $2,100 in cash, and a crystal-like substance, though no charges were immediately laid during that specific stop.
