Nótis Mitárakis Returns as New Democracy MP after EPPO Clearance

The European Public Prosecutor Office concluded its investigation into the OPEKEPE subsidy case involving several current and former Greek parliamentarians, finding no evidence of illegal or culpable conduct. The case was archived, and the former MP Nótis Mitárakis was formally cleared.

Following the EPPO decision, Mitárakis resumed his duties as the parliamentary representative for the island of Chios under the New Democracy party. He emphasized his confidence in the justice system, thanked his lawyer Mihalis Dimitrakopoulos for support, and pledged to continue serving his constituents.
