Nuevo Laredo collects 22,000 school supplies for students

The municipal government of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, successfully completed the Escuelatón 2026 campaign, collecting over 22,000 school supplies to support local students for the upcoming academic cycle.

Driven by Mayor Carmen Lilia Canturosas Villarreal through the Secretariat of Social Welfare, the initiative saw participation from citizens, businesses, civil associations, and professional colleges. The collected items, including pencils, notebooks, and colors, will be distributed during the first week of classes to help alleviate the economic burden on vulnerable families and prevent educational lag.
