Nuevo Laredo expands 'Pinta tu Fachada' housing facelift program

The municipal "Pinta tu Fachada" initiative in Nuevo Laredo has reached 316 families and signed a fourth collaboration agreement with the Fundación Corazón Urbano. The program offers low‑cost façade rehabilitation for social‑interest homes, with contributions of 1,600‑1,700 pesos per household and flexible payment options. Mayor Carmen Lilia Canturosas Villarreal says the effort aims to improve the city's image, foster community pride, and encourage neighborly involvement. Director Montiel of the Instituto Municipal de Vivienda y Suelo Urbano noted that the new agreement will keep the renovation brigades active as long as residents show interest.
