Nuevo Laredo government and Tecnológico sign student opportunity pact

The Government of Nuevo Laredo and the Instituto Tecnológico de Nuevo Laredo have signed a collaboration agreement to expand academic, professional, and entrepreneurial opportunities for students. The initiative, led by Mayor Carmen Lilia Canturosas Villarreal, aims to bridge the gap between education and the productive sector by strengthening ties with local companies, facilitating professional residencies, internships, and job placement.

As the August-December academic cycle begins, the Instituto Tecnológico de Nuevo Laredo reported a total enrollment of approximately 3,850 students, including 1,050 new students. Director Benito Sánchez Raya noted the institution's growth, particularly in virtual education, and highlighted previous municipal support for campus infrastructure and student athletics. The agreement is part of a broader strategy to promote social mobility and economic well-being through higher education.
