Nuevo Laredo launches 62-home construction phase in El Progreso

The municipal government of Nuevo Laredo, led by Mayor Carmen Lilia Canturosas Villarreal, has launched a new phase of the ‘Hogar Propio: Un patrimonio para tu familia’ program in the El Progreso neighborhood. This stage involves an investment of 46.5 million pesos to construct 62 new homes aimed at families in vulnerable situations.

As part of the initiative, the municipality delivered a completed home to Ramiro González Hernández, a person with motor disabilities. The delivered property consists of 58.06 square meters of construction on a 126-square-meter lot, featuring two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, dining area, full bathroom, garage, and laundry area.

The program is managed by the Municipal Institute of Housing and Urban Land (IMVISU). Once all three stages of the project are completed, the total number of homes in the sector will reach 115, with a total integrated investment exceeding 110 million pesos for construction and urbanization.
