Nuevo Laredo launches mobile connectivity program for students

The municipality of Nuevo Laredo, led by Mayor Carmen Lilia Cantúrosas, has launched a pioneering public policy program titled ‘conéctAT, al Futuro’. The initiative provides free mobile internet connectivity to 10,000 higher education students, marking the first social program of its kind in both Tamaulipas and Mexico.

In addition to digital connectivity, the program includes workshops focused on the principles of Artificial Intelligence. The initiative is being recognized as a model for other municipalities due to its creative approach to public policy and its ability to address local needs through independent municipal design.
