NURTW Osun State Council Chairman Kazeem Oyewale Declares Peace in Motor Parks

Kazeem Oyewale, popularly known as Ashiri Eniba, was inaugurated as the new chairman of the Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Osun State Council in Abuja. Immediately after taking office, he announced that peace has returned to motor parks across Osun State and urged residents not to stereotype commercial drivers as hoodlums, describing members as law‑abiding family men.

Oyewale called on the police to complete investigations into killings that occurred during the recent leadership crisis and thanked security agencies for restoring order. He appealed to the Osun State Government to cooperate with the union, emphasizing its independence and willingness to work with all stakeholders. Ayinde Mutiu Olakunle, the interim secretary of the council, also urged members to embrace peace and assured residents that transport activities have normalised.
