Nusa Tenggara Timur earthquake survivors receive humanitarian aid
Various organizations and agencies are providing humanitarian aid to earthquake survivors in Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT), Indonesia, who are simultaneously facing severe drought conditions.
Dompet Dhuafa has distributed clean water to survivors in the Nagekeo Regency, specifically in the Aesesa district, to address both earthquake recovery and meteorological drought risks. Meanwhile, the Indonesian Navy, via the KRI Makassar-590, delivered essential supplies including water tanks, food, and hygiene kits to coastal communities on Palue Island in the Sikka Regency.
Corporate and regional entities are also contributing to the relief efforts. KADIN DKI Jakarta has mobilized food and health supplies to support recovery, while Perum Jasa Tirta I has conducted multiple aid distributions, most recently providing water storage tanks and bottled water to meet basic needs. These efforts aim to mitigate the dual impact of recent seismic activity and the El Nino-induced drought affecting the region.
