Nutanix expands hybrid cloud and AI infrastructure capabilities

Nutanix has announced several strategic developments aimed at expanding its hybrid cloud and artificial intelligence capabilities. The company now supports the general availability of Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Hybrid on the Nutanix AHV hypervisor. This integration allows organizations to run AVD session hosts on-premises within their own data centers while utilizing Microsoft’s cloud control plane for identity management, access, and session assignment via Azure Arc and Microsoft Entra ID.

Additionally, Nutanix has entered into a strategic partnership with ChronoScale to accelerate the adoption of AI infrastructure. The collaboration integrates Nutanix’s Agentic AI software with ChronoScale’s platform, providing businesses with flexible GPU capacity and support for agentic AI workflows using Nvidia technology. The partnership includes offerings such as GPU-as-a-Service and the Foundry platform, designed to help enterprises manage AI workloads with a focus on operational simplicity, security, and data sovereignty.
