At Computex 2026 in Taipei, Nvidia unveiled its RTX Spark processor, an Arm‑based chip capable of up to one petaflop of AI performance and next‑gen graphics for Windows laptops. The announcement prompted all major laptop manufacturers—including Asus, HP, Dell, Microsoft, Lenovo, MSI, Acer and Gigabyte—to showcase new RTX Spark‑powered models, with high‑end devices projected to cost between $2,000 and $4,000 and target release in the fall of 2026.

The launch also intensified competition with Apple’s recently released MacBook Neo, a $599 budget laptop that has reshaped the low‑price segment. In response, PC makers presented cheaper premium options priced around $599‑$699, such as Acer’s Swift Air 14 and Dell’s XPS 13, while Microsoft highlighted its Surface Laptop Ultra as the “most powerful Surface ever” built around the RTX Spark architecture. Prices, specs and release dates for many of the new models remain tentative, but the processor’s introduction signals a shift toward higher‑performance, AI‑enabled consumer laptops.
