Nvidia poised for AI chip dominance with upcoming CPU platform and laptop superchip
Nvidia continues to lead the artificial‑intelligence chip market through its high‑performance GPUs, which have driven record earnings of $81 billion and a stock rise of more than 400 % over three years. The company plans two major product launches in the second half of the year: the Vera Rubin platform for data‑center CPUs, marking Nvidia’s first standalone CPU offering, and the RTX Spark superchip that combines an Nvidia GPU and CPU for Windows laptops.
Analysts view these moves as a way for Nvidia to expand its revenue base beyond GPUs into the $200 billion CPU market, while competition from AMD, Intel and other AI‑chip designers intensifies. Forecasts suggest the stock could retain strong upside, though the firm’s growth may eventually plateau as rivals catch up.
