Nvidia projects $3-4 trillion in AI infrastructure investment through 2030

At the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference in San Francisco, industry leaders expressed continued optimism regarding the artificial intelligence boom. Nvidia maintained its projection that AI infrastructure investments could reach between $3 trillion and $4 trillion by 2030, with the semiconductor industry reporting historically strong demand.

However, the focus of investor scrutiny is shifting. While the demand for AI models remains high, questions are emerging regarding whether massive investments in data centers, chips, and networks will translate into sustainable revenue and strong cash flows. Analysts noted that physical bottlenecks are evolving; beyond the shortage of advanced chips, constraints in power supply, data center land, memory, and packaging capacity may limit growth through at least 2028.
