Nvidia projects 70% revenue growth amid rising data center demand
Nvidia is projecting significant growth, with revenue expected to increase by 70% for the fiscal year 2028. This expansion is driven by massive infrastructure spending from the five largest cloud providers, who are projected to increase their investments to $1.3 trillion by 2027.
Market analysts at Morgan Stanley have maintained an overweight rating on the company with a $300 price target. Analysts suggest that the primary bottleneck for growth has shifted from silicon manufacturing to physical infrastructure, specifically electricity supply, construction capacity, and the financing required for data centers to support AI agents.
To support its financial position, Nvidia's board has authorized an expansion of its share buyback program by $150 billion, bringing the total pending volume to $235 billion through fiscal year 2028. Additionally, the company recently showcased its Vera-Rubin platform, highlighting the integration of its hardware and software ecosystems.
