NVIDIA releases hotfix driver to resolve RTX 50 video issues

NVIDIA has released the GeForce and RTX Spark hotfix driver version 621.12 to address several technical issues following the installation of the 621.01 Game-Ready Driver.

A primary fix targets GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs and RTX Spark systems, resolving instances where video playback would freeze or result in black screens, particularly when using web browsers like Chrome and Edge or the VLC media player.

Additional corrections included in this update address crashes in Unreal Engine 5.8 when Ray Lighting Mode is set to Hit Lighting. The hotfix also resolves image corruption on RTX Spark systems using StarTech Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI 2.0 adapters and fixes intermittent screen flickering on MSI N16 Flip notebooks.

The update is currently available as an optional download for Windows x64 and Windows ARM64 via NVIDIA's support pages, with these fixes expected to be integrated into a future regular WHQL driver.
