Nvidia RTX 50 series overclocking unlocked via HYDRA tool
The HYDRA 2.3B Pro overclocking tool, developed by Yuri Bubliy (1usmus), has introduced an update that unlocks advanced tuning capabilities for Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards. While Nvidia typically imposes strict power limits and overclocking restrictions on this series, the new software update allows users to bypass these factory settings without requiring vBIOS modifications or custom drivers.
Key features of the update include the ability to increase GDDR7 memory speeds up to 36 Gbps, a significant jump from the standard 28 to 34 Gbps range. Additionally, the tool enables users to raise power limits to as much as 125% of the original factory setting. For instance, testing on an ASUS ROG Astral LC RTX 5090 showed power consumption rising from a 600W limit to over 640W when the limit was increased to 105%.
The update also enhances the RTX-TUNER feature, providing improved voltage frequency curve adjustments and control over MSVDD and NVVDD voltage offsets. The tool has also added experimental support for the Nvidia RTX PRO 6000 professional series cards.
