NVIDIA RTX GPUs: Brazilian modder unlocks sensor data while RTX 5060 prices fall in Brazil
Brazilian hardware enthusiast Paulo Gomes and collaborators reverse‑engineered the NVIDIA RTX 5000 series GPUs, enabling access to previously hidden temperature sensors for individual memory modules and hotspot monitoring. The unlock works across the RTX 5050‑5090 range and is supported by monitoring tools such as MSI Afterburner and HWiNFO.
At the same time, NVIDIA has increased the supply of its new RTX 5060 graphics cards in Brazil, prompting retailers to cut prices to roughly 2,000 BRL for several models (MSI, ASUS, PNY, Palit). Independent tests show the RTX 5060 outperforming older RTX 2080 and even matching RTX 3080 in certain scenarios, making the cards an attractive upgrade for gamers seeking better performance at a lower cost.
