NVIDIA unveils DLSS 4.5 and RTX Spark platform at Gamescom 2026
At Gamescom 2026, NVIDIA announced several major technological advancements for the gaming and AI sectors. A primary highlight is the release of DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, which is now available for all GeForce RTX graphics cards via an NVIDIA app update. This new technology utilizes a second-generation Transformer model that features 20 percent more parameters and 35 percent more computational efficiency than previous versions. It is designed to improve image quality in ray-traced and path-traced games by reducing noise, ghosting, and flickering without sacrificing frame rates.
NVIDIA also provided updates on its RTX Spark platform, a Windows-on-ARM ecosystem designed for AI agents and gaming. The platform is gaining significant industry support, with major publishers including Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Xbox, and Embark Studios confirming participation. Notably, EA will integrate its Javelin Anticheat technology to ensure competitive integrity on RTX Spark-powered devices.
Additional announcements included updates to RTX Remix, which now supports DLSS 4.5 for modders, and the expansion of GeForce NOW services. The company also showcased new G-SYNC Pulsar monitors and discussed the integration of AI-driven characters through the NVIDIA ACE platform.
