NVIDIA updates DLSS 5 to double neural rendering performance

NVIDIA has announced an October update for its DLSS 5 technology, aiming to significantly improve performance while reducing VRAM consumption. According to the company, systematic pipeline optimizations and improvements to neural models have resulted in the performance of the 3D-Guided Neural Rendering model doubling within a week.

NBA 2K27 is set to be the first title to utilize these advancements, with NVIDIA projecting an increase in animation fluidity of approximately 40%. This update follows the initial release of DLSS 5 in September, which NVIDIA positions as the future of video gaming.
