Nvidia's Cosmos 3 AI Model Debuts; SoftBank Invests in European AI Infrastructure
Nvidia introduced Cosmos 3, its first open‑world physical‑AI model, at the GTC conference in Taipei on June 1. Trained on 20 trillion multimodal tokens, the model combines visual recognition, world generation and action prediction to cut robot‑training cycles from months to days. Partners such as Doosan Robotics, LG Electronics, Samsung and Li Auto are set to use the platform for robotics and autonomous‑driving simulations, while research papers presented at CVPR highlight its impact on foundation‑model grasping and vehicle reasoning.
SoftBank is negotiating a multi‑hundred‑million‑euro stake in Munich‑based Agile Robots and plans to deploy up to €75 billion for five gigawatts of AI‑computing capacity in France. Both moves aim to leverage Nvidia’s Cosmos 3 to run realistic robot‑simulation workloads, shortening physical testing and accelerating industrial automation.
