Nvidia's RTX Spark AI Chip Aims to Replace Mouse and Keyboard with Voice Agents

Nvidia unveiled its new RTX Spark processor at the Computex show in Taiwan, claiming the chip can run sophisticated artificial‑intelligence models locally on a PC without needing external servers. The company says the processor will power AI‑agents that users can instruct by voice or natural language, allowing the computer to locate files, organise documents, generate content and perform other tasks without manual clicks or keystrokes. If the technology matures, traditional input devices such as the mouse and keyboard could become secondary to voice‑controlled AI assistants. Nvidia noted that rivals such as Intel are also developing AI‑focused chips, indicating a broader industry push toward on‑device intelligence.

The announcement frames the RTX Spark as a potential turning point for personal computing, though experts caution that earlier predictions about transformative technologies have sometimes failed to materialise. Nonetheless, the chip marks a significant step toward integrating AI more tightly into everyday PC workflows.
