O2 expands market lead with growth in Slovak SIMs and launches new Spark accessories in Czech Republic

O2 Group, operating O2 Slovakia and O2 Business Services, reported a 1 % rise in active SIM cards to 2.36 million, cementing its position as the largest mobile operator in Slovakia. 5G coverage now reaches 99.76 % of the Slovak population, while optical internet connections grew 51 % year‑on‑year. Streaming service subscriptions rose 14 % to 240 000, and the network earned multiple Opensignal Awards for consistent quality, games experience and voice‑app experience.

In the Czech Republic, O2 introduced a proprietary accessory line branded Spark. The range includes an ultra‑thin 6.9 mm MagSafe‑compatible powerbank (5 000 mAh, 20 W USB‑C), a USB‑C cable with an integrated LCD display supporting up to 100 W charging, and a dual‑port car charger. Customers using the My O2 app receive a 10 % discount on any Spark product, applicable up to three times.
