OAB-CE hosts conference on legal profession and AI

The X State Conference of Ceará Advocacy, organized by the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB-CE), convened over 1,500 participants in Fortaleza to discuss the future of the legal profession. Central themes of the two-day event included artificial intelligence, digital transformation, management, and professional valuation.

OAB-CE President Christiane Leitão emphasized the need for lawyers to prepare for technological shifts, such as digitalization and AI, while simultaneously preserving fundamental principles like professional independence, access to justice, and democracy. The conference also addressed institutional efforts to expand the presence of the Order in the state's interior and implement new models for court-appointed legal services.
